The India Bromine Platform (IBP), launched in June 2019, run by Indian Chemical Council (ICC), and India’s top bromine producers, has released the Bromine Safety Handbook. The handbook serves as a comprehensive guide for the safe production, storage, handling, and transportation of bromine. It covers product identification, physical properties, packaging and storage guidelines, safe handling procedures, transportation safety measures, emergency response protocols, and regulatory compliance. It also includes best practices for driver and operator training, equipment maintenance, exposure control, and emergency preparedness to ensure worker safety and environmental protection in bromine-related operations.
